At Intersnack’s automated and robotised distribution centre, Sky People used Rope Access techniques to modify the aspiration smoke detection system (which operates via air sampling) to ensure continued compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The aspiration pipes were fitted with larger sampling points, after which special reduction stickers were used to calibrate and balance the air intake distribution.

Sky People utilised the robotic lift in combination with Rope Access methods, including the eight-climb technique, to move horizontally to the required locations.
